1944-03-21 1998-10-06SALLY RINGHAM BUCHANAN Sally Ann Buchanan, 54, of Ligonier, died October 6, 1998, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born March 21, 1944, in East Chicago, Indiana, a daughter of Evelyn Browley Ringham of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the late Richard Ringham. Sally received her B.A. in Education from Fairleigh-Dickinson University. She was employed by the Needle Nook in Ligonier. Sally was multi-talented with many different forms of arts and crafts. Her gentle spirit and love for children made her the “perfect” baby-sitter for many families. Sally was a women whose beauty and love, both inside and out, was contagious and refreshing to all who knew or met her She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Dwight L. Buchanan; three daughters: Mrs.Joseph (Carolyn) Labik of Somerset, Mrs. Michael (Cindy) Collins of Bridgeville and Christie Buchanan of Philadelphia and a granddaughter, Megan Collins. Also two sisters, Mrs. Daniel (Nancy) Streiff of Winnetka, Ill. And Mrs. William (Janet) Tyson of Acworth, GA and a brother, William Ringham of Fox Chapel and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will gather at the J. Paul McCracken Funeral Home Inc., 144 E. Main St. , Ligonier from 6p.m. Sunday until a Celebration of Sally’s Life at 7:30 p.m., with the Rev. James B. Simons officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society. Daily American, October 8, 1998
